From the beginning of the department, the Botany department of Dhemaji College is sincerely engaged in teaching, learning, research and extension activities related to Botanical Science. Apart from academic activities the department is offering its best towards conservation of local flora and other botanical resources. Research related activities have been performed by the department along with teaching-learning activities simultaneously
to achieve the goals of total education. The department conducts the P.G. Diploma in Forestry & Wild Life Management under UGC sponsored COP programme along with the department of Zoology. Moreover, the department also conducts the Herbal Medicine and Plantation under UGC sponsored programme.
